What does Friends of Whitehall provide?

  • Friends of Whitehall provides information on Whitehall Reservoir and a virtual community for those who would enjoy the lake.

Why is this organization needed?

  • Whitehall reservoir is under constant attack. Pollution and overdevelopment threaten the pristine waters and surrounding forest and trails; casual littering spoils the trails. By sharing our love of the lake with others we hope to foster the respect it deserves and the protection it needs to continue as a source of beauty and recreation for Hopkinton, for Massachusetts, and for visitors from around the globe.

Who can benefit from being a Friend of Whitehall?

  • Anyone who wants to take an active part in the Lake Whitehall community can benefit. We provide maps, information, and event coordination for large and small groups wanting to take part in an activity on or around the lake.

How does Friends of Whitehall work?

  • We hold meetings once or twice a month. We offer resources via the web.

How do I become a member?

  • How much does it cost?

    • Becoming a Friend of Whitehall is free of charge. Of course, we are always willing to accept donations to help maintain our web site and subsidize programs for the lake.
